The purpose of analyzing a laborshed is to measure the availability and characteristics of workers within a region. In order to determine the boundaries of the Cedar Valley Laborshed Area, Iowa Workforce Development (IWD) worked closely with the Greater Cedar Valley Alliance to identify where current employees reside. A telephone survey was then developed and conducted to create a profile of the area’s workforce.
Below is a brief overview of the Cedar Valley Laborshed Analysis and the executive summary in PDF format. Analysis and presentations can be tailored to suit individual prospect needs by contacting the Greater Cedar Valley Alliance at (319) 232-1156 or
