Successful execution of the Fulfilling the Vision campaign can
have a significant impact on the Cedar Valley economy. The
impact has been projected by Capital Strategists Group (CSG),
an economic impact consulting firm allied with Stellar
Fundraising Executives.
CSG used RIMS II multipliers (BEA, 2003 regional economic
accounts) and known consumption patterns to project the impact
of the jobs influenced by the campaign. This permitted an
estimation of the economic impact of the campaign and benefit
to the Cedar Valley Economy.
The five-year time horizon of the Fulfilling the Vision campaign is
expected to produce1:
The creation/retention of 3,000 primary jobs, which will
create an additional 2,850 secondary (or tertiary) jobs.
The primary job wage target is $15.00 per hour.
These jobs are expected to generate $148.5 million in
total earnings which result in an estimated $80.1 million
in consumer expenditures with additional deposits of
$12.83 million into Cedar Valley financial institutions.
